Life presents each of us with a unique journey. As a counselor I join with you to support growth, work through difficulties and create successful outcomes. I take a systemic approach in my counseling and journey with individuals, couples, and families. Systemic therapy addresses people both at the individual level, as well as taking into account broader relationships, patterns, and generational context.
After serving in the US Army, I completed my undergraduate studies in Psychology at Wheaton College and earned my Master’s degree in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from Geneva College. I am licensed as a Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with over 20 years of experience. Along with my clinical work, I offer business consultations, clinical and organizational assessments, and provide trainings and seminars.
My previous work experience includes both administrative and clinical roles within mental health treatment settings: outpatient community mental health clinics, partial hospitalization programs, substance abuse counseling, and crisis response. I have also served as the Director of Behavioral Health Services for a large nonprofit organization, the Program Director for foster care, treatment foster care, and adoption programs, and the Executive Director for a non-profit counseling organization.

Connecting with individuals for educational, mental health and relational needs is a passion for me. It is a joy to use reparative work to assist people to use their voice with confidence, form satisfying relationships, and influence others in powerful and positive ways.

Additionally, I have my Pennsylvania State Certification in School Psychology, which allows me to serve both traditionally schooled and homeschool families with evaluations and special education approvals. Some of my experiences before coming to LSC included overseeing direct care for children with autism and working with women who have experienced sex trafficking and exploitation. Jennifer Wolfe, MA, ATR, LAPC
Art Therapist & Licensed Associate Professional Counselor Practices at the Myerstown and Palmyra Locations & Provides Telehealth Services
Building on my 20 years of professional work as a graphic designer and artist, I now apply these skills in my counseling work which includes an emphasis on art therapy techniques. Art therapy is grounded in the knowledge base of human development, psychological theory, and counseling techniques: it is not a series of art lessons. Techniques used within art therapy work to improve cognitive and sensory-motor functioning, foster self-esteem and self-awareness, cultivate emotional resilience, promote insight, enhance social skills, and reduce and resolve conflicts and distress. I apply both traditional counseling and art therapy techniques when supporting a client’s personal and relational treatment goals. My experience includes working with a wide range of ages from children through older adults and providing care for children affected by divorce. Through talk therapy and/or art therapy I effectively help clients dealing with behavioral issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, and relational problems. I have a special interest in working with women experiencing divorce and the relational struggles that often are experienced within their community.
I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Art Therapy from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and my undergraduate degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Currently, I am under supervision as I complete Pennsylvania’s requirements for becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Art Therapist. I maintain professional memberships in the American Association of Christian Counselors and the American Art Therapy Association.
